Ashkelon National Park
The park contains archaeological remains of what was once a major Philistine city. It includes Tel Ashkelon, with its arched city gate from the Canaanite period, some 3,800 years old, a public building and sculptures from the Roman period, and ruins of Crusader fortifications. The park also has spacious lawns, picnic areas and a public beach.
